Paw Track is built on a simple idea: your pet's data belongs to you. It lives on your device, syncs through your iCloud, and never touches our servers.
Last Updated: February 14, 2026 · Version 2.0
No servers. No tracking. No personal data. We designed Paw Track so your data never leaves your control. We never see who you are, what you name your pets, or anything personal.
No personal information. Paw Track does not collect your name, email, device ID, or any data that could identify you. We use TelemetryDeck for anonymous, aggregated analytics (see Section 4).
All this data is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We never see, access, or store any of this information on our servers. We don't have servers.
Your pet data is stored directly on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to sync with family members through iCloud.
If you enable family sharing, your pet data syncs to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This allows you to:
Important: Your iCloud data is encrypted and protected by Apple. We cannot access your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy governs how iCloud data is handled: apple.com/legal/privacy
We don't share your data with anyone. Ever.
When you choose to share a pet with family members, the shared pet's data is transmitted directly between your devices via iCloud. This is peer-to-peer sharing through Apple's infrastructure. We are not involved in this process.
Paw Track v2.0 lets you create shareable milestone cards (birthday cards, walk art, badge unlocks, monthly recaps, and more). These cards are generated entirely on your device. When you share a card to Instagram, iMessage, or elsewhere, you are choosing to share that specific image. We never see what you share or where you share it.
When you use PawPack export or PDF reports, files are created on your device that you can share with whomever you choose (such as your veterinarian). When you export expense reports, the PDF is generated locally. This is entirely under your control.
Paw Track uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous, aggregated analytics to help us improve the app. TelemetryDeck collects no personal data, no device IDs, and no IP addresses. Signals are anonymous and cannot be linked to any individual. It is GDPR compliant and based in the EU. Learn more: telemetrydeck.com/privacy
Paw Track does not use advertising networks, crash reporting tools, social media SDKs, or attribution frameworks. The only other services are Apple's iCloud (via CloudKit) for optional sync and Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases.
Paw Track requests the following iOS permissions. All are optional and the app works without granting any of them.
This deserves its own section because location data is sensitive.
Paw Track v2.0 includes a GPS walk tracker. When you start a walk, the app records your route coordinates, distance, duration, pace, and steps. Here is exactly what happens with that data:
Walk data is only collected while you actively use the walk tracking feature. The app does not access your location at any other time.
Paw Track does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is designed to be family-friendly and safe for all ages. No accounts, no sign-ups, no personal data collection.
You are in complete control of your data:
We don't retain any personal data because we never collect it. Anonymous analytics signals processed by TelemetryDeck cannot be linked to you or your device.
Your data security is ensured by:
As required by Apple, Paw Track includes a Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) that declares exactly which system APIs the app accesses and why:
NSPrivacyTracking is set to false. TelemetryDeck does not use tracking APIs or the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Paw Track offers the following premium options:
All transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. We do not know your name, email, or billing details.
Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Apple's terms and privacy policy apply: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes
Paw Track is available worldwide and supports 24 currencies for expense tracking. All data is stored on your device or in your personal iCloud account, which may be in a data center in your region managed by Apple. We don't transfer or process data internationally because we don't have access to your data.
You have complete control over your data:
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
Your continued use of Paw Track after changes means you accept the updated policy.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not collect, sell, or share any personal information. Anonymous analytics signals contain no personal data and cannot identify you. Your CCPA rights are fully protected by our privacy-first architecture.
For users in the European Union and European Economic Area:
Privacy is not a feature we added. It is how we built the app. Paw Track was designed from day one so that your pet's data never leaves your control. No clever workarounds, no future plans to change this. Just a powerful pet care app that respects you.
